I’m proud to play just a small part as emcee in an evening honouring the best of this city’s musical community. The 108th Saskatoon Musician’s Gala is being held Thursday night and it’s a hugely diverse lineup of pros. On the program is blues man B.C. Read, jazz vocalist Graham Dyck, rock and rollers Apollo Cruz and roots duo Gillian Snider and Leslie Stanwyck. The evening will be also paying tribute to Saskatoon writer Don Kerr. Tickets are $25 – $30

Dutch Growers

Time to get into the Fall spirit and have a little fun with the kids. The Pumpkin Maze at Dutch Growers is open for the season. You and the kids can wind your way through the straw bales, take some fun pictures and help them on the scavenger hunt along the way. The best part, this is free to the public.

Kids Fun Zone         Now – Oct. 28

For another nice outing for you and the family this weekend, head out to the Berry Barn for the Kids Fun Zone. There’s a full set up of games and activities for the kids. And don’t worry about the weather, the party is all happening in the greenhouse so it’ll be nice and toasty warm regardless. There’s a $10 fee per family and all the proceeds are going to the Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital Foundation.

Every Brilliant Thing is a story of memories, mental health and family dynamics and it’s on now at the Refinery. This is the first show of the Live Five Independent Theatre Season and it’s starring Saskatoon’s own Jenna-Lee Hyde. This is a perfect evening out for you and the adults in your life this Thanksgiving weekend. Tickets are $22 – $25

Their motto is “Go Big or Go home” and that’s just what you can expect from the fiery performance of Nitro Circus. This is a show that will have athletes riding their BMX bikes, scooters and FMX motor bikes over ramps, jumping fire and doing crazy stunts that are hard to imagine are even possible. Tickets are $64 – $150
