The Refinery

It’s raw and full of emotion and grace. Displaced is a play that made headlines on the Fringe Festival circuit and now it’s come back to Saskatoon for an encore. This play by Natasha Martina tells the stories of three immigrant women, all from different eras, whose stories of relocation to Canada mirror each other and often collide. Tickets are $20 – $25 and are going fast with several shows already sold out.

Double Billed Delight       Friday

Underground Cafe

A couple of familiar faces on Saskatoon’s music scene are teaming up for a show next weekend. John Antoniuk is usually sharing the stage with his partner in life and music Jen Lane but for this show, he’s going solo. Antoniuk will revisit some old Smokekiller favourites and will also be trying out some new material. This show is a two for one concert because Saskatoon’s favourite daughter Theresa Sokyrka will be back on stage. Last year, Sokyrka became a mom and took some time off but she’s back in this double bill. It will be an intimate evening of beautiful music perfect for a date night. Tickets are $10.

The Bassment

If you like old school country mixed with laid back jazz stylings, this is a fusion you won’t want to miss. Blake Berglund and Belle Plaine are sweethearts in real life and have turned their partnership into a beautiful musical style that’s all their own. They’ll play a mix of covers and originals that will leave you relaxed and tapping your toes. Tickets are $17 – $22.

If life were like the movies, we would all be able to dance our way to a better life. That’s just what happens to Tony in the iconic film Saturday Night Fever. Now you can experience the story and groove along to the music live on the big stage. Saturday Night Fever – The Musical is bringing the disco era to life once again powered by hits from the Bee Gees. There’s only one show, tickets are between $55-$68 and they are going fast.
