Saskatoon is about to be come the heart of country music as next week the Canadian Country Music Awards come to town. The awards show, hosted by James Barker Band, will air live from SaskTel Centre on CTV Sept. 19th but before they hand out the hardware, there’s a ton of live music and chances to get in on the fun. Music venues throughout our city will host artists like Carolyn Dawn Johnson, Dean Brody, Tenille Townes, and Charlie Major. Check out the CCMA Legends Show, CCMA House with some of the newest on the scene, fan meet and greets, the Songwriters Unplugged series, and so much more. Tickets for many events are $25 – $90. The awards show tickets are between $44 – $113.

The Idi-Odyssey

The Broadway Theatre

Homer probably never envisioned The Odyssey quite like this. The Saskatoon Soaps return for a brand new season of improv comedy with a trip through Greek mythology. There will be vengeful gods, hungry cyclops, a wooden horse – and you, the audience to help guide the journey with a series of improv games. Tickets are $16.

At The Ballet

Saskatoon-born dancer Keaton Leier returns home for his first performance in Saskatoon since he was a kid. This performance is a dream come true as Leier is joined by fellow dancers from The National Ballet of Canada and the Saskatoon Symphony Orchestra for an evening of ballet standards and the world premiere of Paul Leonard-Morgan’s Atmosphere, which Leier choreographed just for the occasion. The orchestra will be led by Judith Yan and it’s going to be breathtaking. Tickets are limited for this one and run $56 – $108.

Nuit Blanche Saskatoon 2026

Get ready for a night-time festival of art spread out all over the center of our city. Nuit Blanche 2026 features outdoor projections, sculpture, performance, music, theatre and so much more. There are over 50 artists and performance groups to check out as you tour through Broadway, River Landing, and Downtown Saskatoon. Don’t miss Nuit Blanche Eve on Friday night as artists in collaboration with the Riversdale Art Walk take over the Riversdale Neighbourhood to perform, show their work and interact with the community. It’s art outside the gallery or theatre and it’s free.

Saskatoon Celtic Festival

Brighton Core Park

Bagpipes, dancing, and Celtic culture take over Brighton for an afternoon full of performances. The Saskatoon Celtic Festival will feature acts like the Glenlily Highland Dancers, 96th Highlanders Pipes & Drums, and the Bridge City Rovers. New this year, is a Celtic and European dog show. There’s a beer garden, food vendors, artisan market, and plenty of fun for the whole family. It’s all part of Culture Days and events happening right across the province running this weekend until Oct. 4th.

Lyle Lovett & His Small Large Band

One of the most distinctive voices in American roots music comes to Saskatoon. Lovett has spent decades cheerfully ignoring musical boundaries, mixing country, folk, blues, jazz, gospel and western swing into something unmistakably his own. Celebrated Canadians The Hello Darlins will open the show. Tickets are $105 – $135.
