This is a celebration of Saskatchewans Asian-Canadian community with performances by Flip Kidz, Kumintang Folkdance Ensemble, and Bahay Kubo. Check out the outdoor market and sample the tasty traditional food. The best part, it’s free for the whole family.

There’s nothing like stories told around a fire and the artistic team at Dancing Sky Theatre is doing just that with Fireside Stories IV: Hear the Trees. This is an intimate outdoor prairie performance of stories celebrating the relationship between people and the trees that surround us. Four artists have created works for the show inspired by nature and community. There are matinee and evening performances and a picnic lunch is available to purchase before the show. Tickets are $25.

Folk, pop singer-songwriter Marissa K is out on a summer tour and making a stop in our city. The artist draws from her dance and theatre performance as well as her Ukrainian heritage to delight audiences. She’s a favourite on the Edmonton music scene. Tickets are $15.

Just a short drive outside of Saskatoon, there’s an old fashioned country barn dance waiting for you this weekend. Champetre County welcomes Saskatoon’s Darryl Anderson with his mix of country rock. You have one final weekend to see the Shakespeare on the Saskatchewan Festival in our city. This season offers two beloved tales from The Bard with a twist. Julius Caesar is hitting the stage with a modern day flare as Brutus, a politician on the rise, is torn between his hunger for power and his loyalty to Caesar. Much Ado About Nothing is a swashbuckling trip to the island of Messina where we meet Don Pedro and his band of pirates enjoying the spoils of their treasure trove until young Claudio falls in love with Hero, the daughter of Messina’s leader. These shows are a beloved tradition in Saskatoon and you can get tickets for $35 – $54.
