It was a passion of Gord Downie. The late Tragically Hip frontman was passionate about reconciliation in Canada and that’s why he created the Gord Downie & Chanie Wenjack Fund. Legacy – A Tribute to Gord Downie is an evening of music in support of the fund. Artists like Tom Wilson, Twin Flames and Kevin Fox will play some of their favourite Downie tunes and share stories of reconciliation in their own lives. Tickets are $8 – $10.

She was 3 years old the first time she hit the big stage and now Saskatoon’s Katelyn Lehner is ready for another milestone. She’s set to release her debut single Red and Lehner’s doing it right on stage at the Capitol Music Club. Lehner’s been working with some of the city’s top talent Johnny Sinclair and Leslie Stanwyck and she’s ready for you to hear it to. Tickets are $10.

St. John’s Anglican Cathedral Hall

We all know the pressure, awkwardness and fun that comes along with a high school reunion. That’s the setting for Mini Fridge Theatre Company’s latest show as it follows four college buddies, home to celebrate on the golf course. This dinner theatre company has had many obstacles in front of it in the last few months. The pandemic and the closure of its regular venue the Saskatoon German Cultural Centre put plans for performance in jeopardy. Luckily the Mini Fridge crew didn’t give up. This show will be held at St. John’s Anglican Cathedral Hall and will feature a physically distanced performance and a catered supper. You still have this weekend to see the show. Single tickets are $60 with tables of four for $220 and a table of 6 runs $330.

Shred Kelly – Virtual Tour

The pandemic has thrown curveballs at all of us and touring musicians  and venues have been particularly hard hit. Folk rock band Shred Kelly has found a way to support its new music and share a little love with Saskatoon’s Capitol Music Club in the process. Shred Kelly just released a new music video for its single Looking For. The band will be taking over the Capitol’s Facebook page on Friday night to perform a virtual concert. This is a chance to have a kitchen party and a portion of the proceeds of your ticket will go towards supporting local, live music. Tickets are pay-what-you-can between $5 – $20.
