With hits your sure to know like Something to Talk About, and I Can’t Make You Love Me, she’s been delighting audiences for half a century. Raitt is a member of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and received the Icon Award from Billboard. She’s bringing along funk and R&B musician Jon Cleary to open the show. Tickets are $54 – $150

He’s a multiple award winner on the Saskatchewan country music scene and Darryl Anderson has tunes that will soothe your soul. He’s been called the Canadian Chris Stapleton and his music is a blend of country, rock, and blues. Tickets are $30 – $42.

Celebrate Pride

Pride celebrations are in full swing in our city. Thursday night Ivanna Beer hosts Ivana’s Sober Sexy Sircus, a night of drag, burlesque and circus acts tickets are pay-what-you-can. Friday it’s Music Grows Here, a celebration of artists including Eekwol, Vikki Minor, and Unproductive. Saturday there’s a pancake breakfast, the Rainbow Run, the Pride Market, an afternoon of fun for Family Day at Pride, the Velvet Garden Soiree featuring Aja Miyake-Mugler from Rupaul’s Drag Race, and more. Sunday the festivities culminate with the annual Pride Parade starting at noon and winding its way through downtown ending at Gather Local Market where you can take in the market and performances on the mainstage by acts like Bitterfly, Blind Commentary, and many local drag artists. SaskTel Centre has a new musical celebration its bringing to the city for a full day of entertainers including Brayden King, Wide Mouth Mason, Cooper Alan, Third Eye Blind, and Jelly Roll. The event was inspired by festival experiences that once filled the grounds like EdgeFest, and Another Roadside Attraction. Tickets start at $39 with other VIP experiences available.

1999 The Ultimate Prince Experience

He may have been gone for a decade but the legacy of Prince’s music lives on in 1999 The Ultimate Prince Experience. This show pays tribute to this icon of music with Dale Ray on vocals. This is a show full of hits like When Doves Cry, Purple Rain, and Let’s Go Crazy. Tickets are $43 – $73.

The Colour of the Town

You still have a few chances to see Sum Theatre’s The Colour of the Town. Theatre in the Park is in its 14th season of live, professional performances the whole family can enjoy together with stops in neighbourhood parks throughout Saskatchewan. This year’s play was collectively created from a story by playwright Jenna “JB” Berenbaum. It follows the people of Taupe Town who are challenged by their young residents to look beyond their current colour preference and embrace all the possibilities. It’s a lesson in democracy full of original music and giant puppetry that we’ve all come to know from this annual summer tradition. You’re sure to find Sum at a park near you. Taylor: A Tribute tot he Eras of Taylor Swift Music

So you weren’t one of the lucky ones who saw the Eras Tour? No problem. Showtime presents Josette with an international band and dancers in a tribute to the tour and, of course, the music of Taylor Swift. This is a tribute show for all the swifties in your life with hits like Shake It Off, Blank Space, and Bad Blood all performed for your live. Get your girlfriends together and sing along. Canada Day

Celebrate our country by joining in the Canada Day festivities along the riverbank.  The fun kicks off around noon there will be live entertainment by our city’s many cultural dance groups, facepainting, bouncy castles, and games for the kids, a DJ keeping the party going and, of course, plenty of local food vendors waiting for you along the Traffic Bridge. The fireworks go off at 10:30pm from Rotary Park.
