G’zaagiin means I love you in Anishinaabemowin and Maleńki means little child in Polish and Persephone Theatre’s got a special little show for your kids this weekend. This is a non-verbal sonic performance for children 18 months – 5 years old and led by some very talented musicians and artists from Voyageurs Immobiles, you’ll go on a journey through sounds, textures and movement. Her tell-it-like-it-is comedy has gained her fans worldwide and there’s nothing like seeing her in person. Tickets are $35 – $45.

Singer-songwriter Jason Isbell is considered one of the greatest performing songwriters of his generation and he’s coming to Saskatoon this weekend for a concert with The 400 Unit. Isbell has six Grammy awards to his name and is going strong with his new album Weathervanes. Tickets are $72 – $230.

The duo of Mark Lalama and Amanda Walther are based in Ontario and have wide play on jazz radio stations throughout North America. You still have a few chances left to see the Saskatchewan play that took the country by storm! 25th Street Theatre’s Paper Wheat put Saskatchewan on the Canadian theatre map with this show touring right across the country. The play tells the story of the first settlers on the prairie and the foundations of the cooperative movement here in Saskatchewan. It’s all about working together to build a life here on the prairies. You can buy tickets just for the show $20 – $35 or add on a meal before the performance for an additional $45.

Million Dollar Quartet

Persephone Theatre
To close out its season, Persephone Theatre has a Tony award nominated musical that will bring the house down. Million Dollar Quartet is a story about how fate brought Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis, Carl Perkins, and Elvis Presley together at Sun Records in 1956. It’s called the greatest jam session in the history of rock and roll. Tickets are $49 – $55 and are officially sold out but Persephone is asking patrons who still want to squeeze into the theatre should call the box office in case last minute tickets are released.
