École Victoria School
Nutana Winterlude is a chance to bring a little winter magic to the blistering cold. Sum Theatre is at it once again as the company presents The Hockey Sweater. This will be performed every hour on the hour in the gym at École Victoria School 5p.m.-8p.m. nightly. The play is only the beginning of the fun. The Nutana Community Association is presenting activities which will include fire spinning, Indigenous dancing, children’s crafts and outdoor games and who can beat free coffee and hot chocolate? This event is FREE to the public. There will be a silver collection to support The Deaf Crows, a Regina theatre group that’s hoping to go to the first ever deaf theatre festival in Canada.

Hailing from Regina The Dead South blend bluegrass, folk and rock music into a night that should not be missed. These guys have a cool “old west” look to them that adds to their charm. It’s definitely a band that you’ll want to get up and dance to. Tickets are $15.

Kohkoms On Broadway Dec. 14-17

The crazy Kohkoms are at it again. This time Zula, Sihkos and Clair Bear discover a new toy store in the North and they set out in secret to get the best presents for their grandchildren. The Rez series is a Christmas tradition for the folks at Gordon Tootoosis Nikaniwin Theatre. There have been 14 installments of this series and people keep coming back to these characters because they are easy to fall in love with. “They are like the Golden Girls, but on a reserve,” jokes the series writer Curtis Peeteetuce. Tickets are $13-$15.
