The crazy Kohkoms of Gordon Tootoosis Nīkānīwin Theatre’s Rez Christmas series are back this time, in Luff Actually. This is a much-loved series, written by Curtis Peeteetuce. Luff Actually has Clare, Zula and Sihkos planning a private holiday party and they don’t want the band council to find out. Of course, things on the Rez never go as planned and plenty of laughs are in store. Tickets are $15 – $20.

It’s a chance for you and your little ones to sing at the top of your lungs and dance out all your wiggles. Children’s performer Sylvia Chave is hitting the stage for Holiday Hoopla this Thursday. These shows are 45mins long and will quickly make fans out of your kids. There are songs, rhymes and plenty of laughter. Two daytime shows to choose from on Thursday 10:30a.m. and 1p.m.. Tickets are $8 – $10 and children 2 and under are free.

Handel’s Messiah & Sing-Along Messiah

It’s one of the most played pieces of music around the globe and it just happens to be part of a 106-year-old tradition for the Saskatoon Symphony Orchestra. Handel’s Messiah fans will get a 2 for 1 experience with the SSO next weekend. Friday night, the professionals take over with performances by Danika Lorén, Spencer McKnight, Adam Harris, Lisa Hornung and the Saskatoon Symphony Chorus. This is a 3-hour spectacle not to be missed. On Saturday afternoon, it’s your chance to be a star. The Sing-Along performance requires no rehearsal, they provide the sheet music and all you have to do is belt it out with the SSO. Tickets for Handel’s Messiah are $52, $25 – $45 for the Sing-Along Messiah.

Frosty The Snow Person

Embrace the wintry weather with the magical puppets of Wide Open Children’s Theatre. This is an original story written by James O’Shea about Frosty, a bookish snow person who’s sent on a mission to find the heart of winter. Along the way, Frosty must summon up his courage to battle snow snakes and kangaroo mice along the way. As always this is a show to bring the entire family to. Music, laughs and plenty of audience participation are all included in this 45-minute show. Tickets are $12 – $17.
