Just in time for Valentine’s Day, Sylvia Chave has a show just for you and your little ones. In true Sylvia fashion, the show is all about getting up, dancing and singing along to some of your favourite tunes. There are three shows 10:30a.m., 1:00p.m. and 7:00p.m.. Tickets are $8 – $10, children under 2 years old are free.

This is a tradition that the boys in my family really enjoy. It’s my Valentine’s Day present to them that is all about rough and powerful trucks and death-defying feats. Motocross, Monster Trucks, you’re going to want to bring hearing protection for this show. It’s exciting, it’s loud and it’s a ton of fun! Tickets are $17 – $28

The Bassment

She’s toured North America, won an inaugural Saskatchewan Music Award for album of the year for her Malice, Mercy, Grief & Wrath album and is a proud newlywed, just married her country music sweetheart Blake Berglund. Her latest album is a work that’s gained critical acclaim. The music speaks to the prairies where she grew up and this weekend she’ll be performing at an intimate show at The Bassment. This would be a fantastic date night. Tickets are $23 – $28.

Elemental                   Thurs. – Feb. 24         

The Refinery

Who doesn’t like a two-for-one deal? Live Five Theatre is offering just that over the next two weekends. Elemental is a pair of solo shows that will share the stage. On The Rocks by Danielle Altrogge is a coming of age story that looks at mermaid myths from around the world. Altrogge says this is a bit of a feminist manifesto. Charlie Peters’ Many Fires is a look at modern day ideas of masculinity through the lens of clowning, poetry, video projections and music. Both playwright/performers hope these shows open up discussions about what it means to be a man and woman in today’s society. Tickets for Elemental run $22 – $25.

Memorable Munsch               Friday – Feb. 24

Family Day and the February break mean you have to make plans to keep the kids busy and Wide Open Children’s Theatre is here to help. The puppet theatre has taken six of their favourite stories by Robert Munsch and have created a show that will keep you laughing right along and shouting out the words. Included in this performance are The Fire Station, Something Good and the Paper Bag Princess. Tickets for the show run $10 – $15.
