Crazy Kohkom Tradition Dec. 4 – 8

The Kohkoms are back for Gordon Tootoosis Nīkānīwin Theatre’s latest instalment of the Rez Christmas series, Alone @ Home. Sihkos, Clare and Zula are back on stage this time with a tale that looks a little bit like the classic holiday film Home Alone. After Clare and Zula leave for the city to get supplies for a feast, Sihkos is left home alone to defend against a pair of robbers. This show is full of all the family fun audiences have come to expect from GTNT’s annual holiday show. Tickets are $20 – $25.

Persephone Theatre is known for its holiday blockbuster shows and this year’s production will not disappoint. Fiddler on the Roof is the Tony Award winning musical about Tevye, a poor milkman who’s trying to help his five daughters find love, prosperity and happiness. The soundtrack is one you’ll want to sing along to. This show is clearly exciting audiences as the run has already been extended three times. Tickets are $30 – $61.

Panto Perfection Dec. 7 – 23
Dancing Sky Theatre – Meacham
They are at it again! Dancing Sky Theatre is kicking the holidays into high gear with its annual panto. Jack and the Snow Queen is a family friendly mash up of the traditional Hans Christian Andersen tale with puppets, comedy, current events and original music. You can head out for just the show or enjoy lunch and supper before the performance. This is a great time with the whole family. Tickets are $30 – $56.50.

Christmas Variety Dec. 8
TCU Place
The Saskatoon Symphony Orchestra is throwing out its traditional concert format and opting for a variety show that will rival the Bing Crosby T.V. specials of old. The 12 Days of Christmas is a holiday show with special guests, Eileen Laverty, Trevor Wingerter, Garry Gable and the Greystone Singers with the University Chorus. They’ll be favourite tunes, chances for the audience to sing along, dramatic readings and surprise guests. Tickets are $53 – $73
