Light the Night             Friday

Forestry Farm Park & Zoo

It’s a holiday tradition that’s celebrating 20 years of lights. The Enchanted Forest has one night a year that it opens to just foot traffic before the cars are let in. It’s a chance to see the light displays up close, get pictures for that holiday card and enjoy the bonfire and hot chocolate with the family. All the proceeds go to the Saskatoon City Hospital Foundation and the Saskatoon Zoo Foundation. Tickets are $5 per person OR $20 for a family.

If you’re looking to laugh this weekend look no further than a newly minted sketch comedy troupe right here in Saskatoon. The Sketchy Bandits are a group of rambunctious local actors who’ve put pen to paper for an evening of hilarity. This is a sketch comedy performance full of adult humour. Tickets are $21 – $25.

Musical Comeback           Saturday

Amigos Cantina

After a three-year tumultuous break up Vancouver indie band, Hey Ocean! Is back with a new album called The Hurt of Happiness. These guys have been nominated for Junos and even so, they decided to take a break. Now reunited, the trio has been touring through Canada and the U.S. sharing their new tracks. Many fans hope they’re back for good. Tickets are $18 – $20.

Holiday Benefit           Nov. 22

TCU Place

It’s a who’s who of Saskatchewan country music and if you’re a fan, this is just the thing to get you into the Christmas spirit. Colter Wall, Blake Berglund, Leaving Thomas and Samara Yung are just a few of the performers that will be lending their talents to a show that’s in support of children and healthy families in this city. The event will be like a songwriter’s circle with many artists on stage at once sharing holiday memories and performing together. All proceeds from this evening will go to the Crisis Nursery and Parent Aide programs here in Saskatoon. Tickets are $49.
