He’s a favourite here in Saskatoon and not just cause his new bride hails from here. Royal Wood has always amazed crowds with his folk sensibilities and beautiful melodies. The singer songwriter has a new album out called Ever After The Farewell and he’s bringing his Canadian tour to our city. This is an album full of songs about losing loved ones and the promise of new love. It’s a show that will have you enchanted. Tickets are $39.

It’s a party 10 years in the making. The Ritornello Chamber Music Festival is celebrating a milestone this weekend and you’re not going to want to miss it. Featured performers include violinist Mark Fewer who’s created every kind of music under the sun from jazz to traditional orchestras. Fewer’s music has even been featured on the T.V. program American Horror Story. Also joining the program is gypsy jazz guitarist Duane Andrews. Andrews blends the worlds of jazz and traditional folk in a toe tapping show. The celebration ends with an afternoon performance by all the artists involved Sunday at the Remai Modern. Tickets are $20 – $80 and weekend passes are still available.

It’s the perfect place to sample those new summer drinks. The Top of the Hops – Grapes & Grains is back for another year. This year’s event features 200 different liquor samples from all over the place. Don’t worry if you feel a little bit peckish after a few drinks because there will be plenty of local chefs offering their best dishes. Tickets are $30 – $35.

You will be blown away by the talent we have right here in our community the minute the show opens. The Fireside Singers are bringing The Hunchback of Notre Dame to life on stage in a full scale musical. The group is comprised of more than 80 performers who all volunteer their time to mount this production. This is the classic tale of Quasimodo as he searches for his place in the world. Tickets are $44.
