Looking for a way to rekindle the flame or impress that first date? Saskatoon’s top chefs and artists have the event for you.
Love is in the air for the 9th Annual Chefs’ Gala is happening Feb. 10, 2018 at Prairieland Park. Saskatoon Chefs’ Association is partnering with local performers for an evening of sexy comedy, rich musical performances and delicious food.
Boy meets girl in this candlelit culinary and artistic celebration that’s celebrating some of the most iconic film romances. The city’s top culinary artists will show off their skills as they present a seven-course meal. Dishes like chef Scott Torgerson (The Radisson) When Harry Met Salad and chef Layne Ardell’s (Prairie Meats) Runaway Boar will tempt your palate.
While you rest and digest, you’ll be swept off your feet by performances from the talented folks at Live Five Independent Theatre, Little Opera On the Prairie and the Ritornello Chamber Music Festival.
“We want you to walk away full of food and having had your spirit fed,” says LOOP’s artistic director Anastasia Winterhalt. “The music is super sexy, the show is hilarious and the chefs are pulling out all the stops for the meal.”

This gala is the coming together of artists in a celebration of food and performance and it goes along way to financially supporting the work that they do. It’s also a chance for culinary students from Saskatchewan Polytechnic to work alongside our city’s greats and then take home some hardware and bragging rites.
“For these students, it’s a chance to learn from the masters at a high level event.” Winterhalt says, “You just can’t beat learning by creating dishes alongside award-winning chefs.”
The 2018 Chefs’ Gala & Showcase promises to “Have you at ‘Hello’” tickets have to be purchased in advance before February 5, 2018.
