Peach is the latest offering from Live Five Independent Theatre and this production explores the complexity of new love and how it isn’t always what T.V. or movies would have us believe. This is a gritty, realistic look at young love through one woman’s eyes. Tickets are $21 – $25.

Soulful Straker             Friday

The Bassment

He’s a perennial favourite here in Saskatchewan and once again, Jeffery Straker is bringing his music back to Saskatoon after nearly a year away. Straker has been busy between visits to our city. He recently returned from a European tour, had a ballet set to his music by the Youth Ballet Company of Saskatchewan and is currently working on a brand new musical Us set to hit the Globe Theatre stage at the beginning of February. Straker has also just announced that he’ll be back in the host seat for Kinsmen Telemiracle 42. This show is going to be a celebration of who we are and where we come from and Straker is bringing his trio along for the ride. Tickets are $20 – $25.

Broadway Theatre

Saskatoon’s favourite improv troupe are back on stage and ready to solve the world’s problems with its latest show. Saskatoon Soaps: Clean The World is a show that invites the audience to bring suggestions on our planets conflicts and they’ll solve them through a night of make believe and comedy. This is a great night out for a group of friends. Tickets are $10 – $12.

Persephone Theatre

Persephone Theatre is turning to the dark side for a who-done-it tale that will have you on the edge of your seats. As the play opens, an old man in a military uniform is dumped at the police station with a lawyer’s business card hanging around his neck from a meat hook. It’s a story of justice and revenge and the thin line between the two. This show is not for the faint of heart and involves extreme violence and mature scenes. Tickets are $16 – $48.

Saskatoon Farmers’ Market

Bundle up the family and head out for a day full of icy fun. The Nutrien Wintershines Festival is back for another year. This is a festival all about celebrating our longest season. From the ice sculptures to the snow park, outdoor concerts and sleigh rides and plenty of tasty treats in between. Most of the events are free to the public with the rest costing between $5 – $10.
