After a bit of a wait, it’s time to grab your Soul Sister and head to the riverbank for a show full of hits. Now the band is better and ready to play its hit like Drops of Jupiter, Meet Virginia and of course Soul Sister for an appreciative crowd. The show is at one of our city’s best music venues, the Bessborough Gardens. Tickets are $55 and all proceeds go to the Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital Foundation.

Simply Delicious            Sept. 6 – 10

Riversdale District

For even the most amateur foodie, there’s nothing better than taking a stroll through a neighbourhood and tasting all the restaurants have to offer. That’s the idea behind YXEats. The festival has only been around for a few years but it’s quickly become the trendiest food tour in the city. Restaurants throughout the Riversdale neighbourhood have customized a menu between $10 and $25 for the public to swing by and sample. For many of the establishments these items will be debut on their menu just in time for the festival. There are also several ticketed events including cooking classes, a progressive lunch and even a tour and tasting at Black Fox Farm. Those events will run you $40 – $150.
