Brit’s Picks Dec. 1 – 8
Hang Onto Your Pantos! Fri. – Dec. 18
Dancing Sky Theatre Meacham, SK
Just a short drive East of Saskatoon a magical evening of theatre awaits. Dancing Sky Theatre has a holiday tradition that’s been going strong for a decade. Monty Steals Christmas, loosely rooted in the classic How The Grinch Stole Christmas, is a show that combines the magic of music, comedy and puppets. This is a show that will quickly become a family tradition as characters like Jack, Widow Spriggins and yes, even the scheming Monty St. Orange will steal your heart. Make a night of it and book yourself in for the dinner they serve before. It’s well worth the drive. Tickets are $30 for the show, add an extra $25 on if you want to stay for supper.

Welcome Christmas Day! Saturday

It’s not Christmas until you’ve heard that magical song from childhood. For me it’s tunes from How the Grinch Stole Christmas and A Charlie Brown Christmas. The Saskatoon Symphony Orchestra has gathered together a whole repertoire including songs from Whoville, Charlie Brown and a whole host of Christmas classics to get you in the spirit. You just might want to sing along, it’s a perfect show to take the whole family! Tickets are $15 – $70.
