It’s a celebration of the best designers and wearable art makers from right here at home. Saskatchewan Fashion Week is back and will include designers like Melissa Squire, Red Zac Meredith and Melvin Lin Designs. The runway show is Saturday night and the Wearable Art Gala is Sunday evening. Don’t miss the SFW Marketplace Saturday and Sunday at the Remai Modern. The Woman in Black

Persephone Theatre has a play that will send chills right up your spine. It’s the story of a man obsessed with a curse he believes hangs over his entire family and the ghostly figure of The Woman in Black that continues to show itself. Arthur Kipps, the haunted, looks for help from a young actor to unravel the secrets that have ruled his nightmares. The show marks the return to the stage for Saskatoon actor Matthew Burgess, a stage regular years ago, he’s now teaches English and Drama at Aden Bowman.This performance is filled with classic theatre magic, illusion and gothic horror. Tickets are $57 – $71.

They are already on the road to the 2026 Olympics. Our country’s top figure skaters will be in Saskatoon this weekend competing in the 2025 Skate Canada International and the winners qualify for the ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating Finals in Japan. This is all a chance to gain international ranking points that help make their case for being selected for the 2026 games in Italy. Tickets are $45 – $100.

The Refinery

Our friends at Wide Open Children’s Theatre are in the kitchen whipping up a brand new puppet show for us. The Franken-Gingerbread Man tells the story of what happens when two bumbling bakers try to create the ultimate cookie when suddenly, it comes to life. The Saskatoon performances are just the warm up. In December, Wide Open will partner with Meacham’s Dancing Sky Theatre for a longer, adult friendly version of the baker’s tale. Tickets are $12 – $17.

Who  doesn’t love a double bill? Two of Canada’s most evocative and enduring folk-rooted bands come together for the Ballads & Badlands Tour and it’s making a stop in our city. Great Lake Swimmers and Elliott Brood have been delighting Canadian audiences for years and in this show they will show why they’ve got staying power on the folk-rock scene. Tickets are $35 – $57.

Want your history with a little mystery? The Diefenbaker Canada Centre has guided ghost tours that takes you through all the haunts on campus. There will be spooky ghost stories about the restless spirits that roam the halls of the University of Saskatchewan. Dress up in your best costumes and join the UofS guides take you on a late night walk. Tickets are $16.50.

If you’re looking for a spooktacular way to get into the Halloween spirit, take the family down to the grounds at Prairieland Park for Pumpkins After Dark. This is a festival much like Glow Saskatoon around Christmas time where you can wander through the pathways and enjoy Halloween scenes created from thousands of hand-carved pumpkins. There will be treats from local food trucks, live pumpkin carving demonstrations and roving performers. Tickets are $18 – $24 and you pre-select the time and date of your visit.

If you feel like a fright, you should check out the Theatre of Madness’ 2025 edition The Carnival. The Halloween event is back for another year and this time at Crossmount. Wander your way through the grounds at your own risk. This is an event where you book your time to visit ahead when you buy tickets. The later you book, the scarier the experience gets. Tickets are $20 – $30.
