It’s a story of hope, of resilience, and beauty in the world. Every Brilliant Thing is a play that’s captured audiences across Western Canada with it’s tale about a seven year old’s quest to find beautiful things in the world to cheer up her mother. This is a play that dives into the world of mental health with care and humour. The show has been touring Saskatchewan high schools and will be stopping for a string of public performances in Saskatoon. This performance is recommended for 14+. Tickets are $15 – $30.

The Saskatoon Symphony Orchestra’s Silence is Golden performance is back and you still have tonight to experience it! This time digital accordionist Michael Bridge performs a live soundtrack to the 1925 silent horror film adaptation of The Phantom Of The Opera. This is a movie experience unlike any you’ve ever seen with Bridge’s digital accordion to produce a soundtrack and sounds for this spooky film. Tickets are $32 – $41.

Their songs celebrate love and hope in the world and couldn’t we all use a little more of that? The Once is a band out of Newfoundland that have a soft, lilting folk sound that has taken the trio around the world. Don’t miss this show, tickets $35 – $45 are selling FAST.

Pumpkins After Dark

If you’re looking for a spooktacular way to get into the Halloween spirit, take the family down to the grounds at Prairieland Park for Pumpkins After Dark. This is a festival much like Glow Saskatoon around Christmas time where you can wander through the pathways and enjoy Halloween scenes created from thousands of hand-carved pumpkins. There will be treats from local food trucks, live pumpkin carving demonstrations and roving performers. Tickets are $22 – $45 and you pre-select the time and date of your visit. The celebration runs Thursday to Sunday right up to Halloween.

If you’re looking for a good scare ahead of Halloween, check out the Theatre of Madness Haunted House. Take a walk through the old theatres at the mall for a spine-tingling experience behind the velvet ropes. There’s different scare levels to choose from so everyone can get in on the fun. Basically, the later it gets, the spookier it gets. Tickets are $15 – $20.

Get ready for a Celtic punk explosion as the Dropkick Murphys storm into SaskTel Centre Friday night. The Boston band hit the scene in the 90s and has become synonymous with powerful anthems for sports teams like the Red Sox and Bruins. This is a band that will pump you us.
