We Love the 90’s
Friday
Broadway Theatre
As a child of the 90’s myself, I just can’t resist this celebration by the Saskatoon Soaps. Get out your chokers, brush off your Doc Martens and head down to the Broadway Theatre for a grunge-filled evening of laughs and retro (do we call the 90s retro now?) references. You yell out the suggestions and these comedians take it from there. You never know what’s going to happen but you know it’s going to be hilarious. Tickets are $15.

Bat Brains
Thurs. – April 28
The Refinery
Live Five’s +1 show for it’s 20th season is a odd and entertaining one. Bat Brains comes from the mind of Sam Kruger and it was a hit with audiences on the Fringe circuit a couple of years ago. It’s an exploration of mental illness using vampires. Characterized as part Dracula, part Mr. Bean, part Pee-Wee’s Playhouse gone wrong. Kruger taps into their own personal experience to create a story about Scud a vampire who is afraid of his own thoughts. He hides from the world spending most of his time in bathrooms. This show uses mime, clowning and dance to tell the story. Tickets are $25 – $30.
