Men Express Their Feelings

25th Street Theatre is taking us to the rink for a comedy about fathers, sons and hockey culture in Men Express Their Feelings. This play is staged like a hockey game in three periods as two fathers and their kids are sequestered in the dressing room forced to solve a recent brawl before the hockey scouts arrive. If they can’t figure it out, the boys miss out on their chance to make it into juniors. At its heart, this story is about relationships and healthy masculinity. The show will open in Saskatoon before moving on to Regina for shows on March 30th and 31st (The Artesian). Preview tickets March 7 and 8 are $16. March 9 – 20, tickets are $16 (student/artist) – $26 for regular pricing.

Red, White, & You!

The Refinery
Forget about Saturday Night Live and the Kids in the Hall. Move over Second City because a team of Saskatchewan comedians are about to turn the world of comedy on its head. Red, White, & You! is a blend of stand-up and sketch comedy from the minds of Indigenous comics from right here in Saskatoon. Dakota Ray Hebert assembled this powerhouse ensemble for a North American tour after being offered a gig at the Coachella Valley Brewing Comedy Festival. The tour kicks off in Saskatoon and then heads to Regina, Calgary and Edmonton before taking on dates south of the border in Los Angeles, Palm Springs, Boston and New York. Tickets are $20 – $30.

Journey

Don’t Stop Believing cause Journey hasn’t. The band has become part of the classic rock cannon with tunes like Any Way You Want It, Faithfully and Open Arms. The band is out on its Freedom Tour marking 50 years of music. The Rock & Roll Hall of Famers are bringing along American rock band Toto to make this an evening full of nostalgia. Tickets are $58 – $170.

The past few days, this country music superstar’s song The Truck Got Stuck may have been whirling around in your brain. The Alberta musician is out on tour with his band the Hurtin’ Albertans in support of his latest album El Viejo. It’s a tribute to the music of his friend and country legend Ian Tyson. American band 49 Winchester will open the show. Lund is Long Gone to Saskatchewan Monday and you can take in the show for $35 – $68.

I Have No Idea

Have you ever wondered what it’s like to live with ADHD? Playwright and actor Nathan Coppens knows and he wants you to get a glimpse inside the world of people who have it. I Have No Idea is a comedy that celebrates the stories of four neurodivergent people navigating their way through society and the mental health system through music and story. Tickets are $25 $30.
