The Art of War
Thurs. – Sun.

It’s a beautiful story of sacrifice, camaraderie and nationhood. Yvette Nolan’s new play The Art of War follows the story of Nick a Canadian painter sent to the battlefield of World War II to paint what he sees. The experience changes him and his work transforms Canada’s idea of itself. The performance of this play has been a long time coming. It was supposed to be staged in 2021 but had to be put on hold because of the pandemic now Hardly Art Theatre has it on stage for you to see this Remembrance Day weekend. Tickets are $19.

The Full Monty
Mon. – Thurs.
The Broadway Theatre
Saskatoon Summer Players invites you to “Let it go, let it go, loosen up and let it go!” with the kick off to its 60th anniversary season-opener The Full Monty. Most of us know the story from the 1997 film by the same name about six unemployed steelworkers and their plan to put on a strip show to make some quick cash. It’s a show about friendship, courage and the importance of community when you’re facing hard times. This show is also a chance to see members of our community on stage doing what they love. Saskatoon Summer Players is Saskatoon’s oldest theatre company and the performances it creates are because of the dedication of volunteers sharing their passion and talent for musical theatre with the audience. Tickets are $30 – $35.
