It’s a big milestone for one of Saskatoon’s favourite venues. This year marks three decades of the Broadway Theatre being 100% community owned. The month-long celebration will feature musical performances by artist like Arien Posen, Dan Mangan, Begonia and Great Lake Swimmers… and that’s just in the first two weeks. Theatre performances like Feathers of Fire and Randy Feltface. There’s so much to enjoy in this program, you really have to check out your options HERE.

It’s all about the art of the tease. The Saskatoon International Burlesque Festival is back for a second year at the Broadway Theatre. Two full days of shows and workshops for aspiring performers. This year’s lineup includes Ms. B LaRose from Chicago, Montreal’s Tristan Ginger and emcee Rebecca Mm Davis from Seattle. If you’ve always admired burlesque and you want to give it a whirl, the workshops are open to all abilities. Tickets are $35 – $40.

SK Fashion Weekend

There’s power in numbers and our province’s fashion designers & artists are coming together this weekend to show the world what they can do. Check out the SWF Marketplace in the Midtown Shopping Center where you can take home pieces created by local designers. There will be a fashion show Friday displaying the current trends and how to put together that on-point look, Saturday you can check out the Wearable Art Gala, and Sunday is the Saskatchewan Fashion Association runway show. Tickets are around $55.

The Patsy Cline Project & Hank Lives

It started as a passion project for Canadian country music star Lisa Brokop. The Patsy Cline Project is a show Brokop put together to pay homage to the country legend with some of Cline’s hits like Crazy and Walkin’ After Midnight. Brokop has teamed up with singer/songwriter Paul Jefferson and his performance as Hank Williams Sr. in Hank Lives. This is a show that will have you walking down memory lane. Tickets are $62 – $72.

Burnt Thicket Theatre presents a one man, multi-media, living room show written & performed by artist Tim Bratton. My Little Plastic Jesus is an autobiographical piece where Bratton unpacks his upbringing in an evangelical church and what it means to his life today. It challenges ideas of religion and politics with a lot of humor and original music. This is the first live presentation of the show since the pandemic halted touring plans in 2020. It will be presented much like a house concert in homes at each tour stop. Tickets are $25.
