Persephone Theatre
Persephone Theatre is wrapping up its season with a comedy about relationships as much as it is about “the talk”. The Birds and the Bees follows Gail who’s just separated from her husband and returns to her childhood home for a bit of comfort from her mom. Her mother, however, is preoccupied with her failing honeybees and her blunt next door neighbour. This production has been getting rave reviews for its take on sex and intimacy. Tickets are $37 – $48.

The Refinery
A brand new play by Saskatoon’s own Clare Middleton is set to hit the stage. Special Delivery is a joyful family show filled with shadow puppetry and clowning. There is a big red circle on the calendar and we have to help our heroes figure out what special day they have forgotten and how we can celebrate someone so different from ourselves. This is the perfect outing for you and the kids during the Easter break. Tickets run $12 – $17 subsidized tickets are also available.

Bear Grease

Broadway Theatre
A wonderful Indigenous reimagining of the blockbuster musical starring John Travolta and Olivia Newton John is set to hit the stage. Bear Grease incorporates hip hop, comedy and freestyle to tell the love story of Sandy and Danny with a Treaty 6 twist. For example, instead of the Pink Ladies it’s the Pink Aunties. It began as a Fringe show in Edmonton and has gone on to tour the country and audiences love it. Tickets are $35.

Draggins Car Show

Prairieland Park
It’s a springtime tradition in our city. The 61st Annual Draggins Car Show rolls into town this weekend with custom cars and classic hot rods all shined up and ready for you to admire. More than 200 vehicles from all across Canada that will be at the show. Don’t miss the battle of the mechanics competition. The best part, all the proceeds go to support Camp Easter Seal. If you have a “gear head” in your family get down there. Tickets are $10 – $20.
