It’s a tale of a family reunited after not seeing each other for a while. The siblings get together at the family home on the rez to discuss some very important news. All is calm until they hear the pitter patter of hooves on the roof. Leave it to Weavers is a brand-new comedy from Gordon Tootoosis Nīkānīwin Theatre and although the original performance in front of a live audience at the Broadway Theatre couldn’t happen, the show must go on. GTNT is broadcasting the performance this week at 7:30p.m. on its Facebook and YouTube channels free of charge.

The SaskTel Saskatchewan Jazz Festival is spreading Christmas cheer exactly as you’d expect… with a little music. There are two virtual concerts you can enjoy. The first is Thursday night with a performance by Pink Martini. The group performs pop, Latin and jazz music in that cool, rat pack style. Tickets are $25. The second show is a holiday hello from Saskatoon songstress Elly Thorn Sunday night. Thorn will perform a combo of her own original tunes and classic favourites. This performance is free and will be on YouTube and Facebook.

Capitol Music Club

You’ve seen him on the big screen, watched him at Just for Laughs and the comedy festival circuit, maybe even heard his podcast Tic with a side of Tets and now, you can see the Pride of Prince Albert Kelly Taylor live on stage. Taylor is holding his Christmas comedy special at the Capitol Friday night. There are still a few tickets up for grabs $25 for singles, $80 for a table of four.

It’s hard to believe it’s been almost 10 years since one of my favourite Christmas albums was release. Barenaked for the Holidays is on heavy rotation in my house, the Elf’s Lament always makes me laugh. Barenaked Ladies is spreading the Christmas cheer this year in a live stream concert Friday night at 8:00p.m.. They’ll play tunes from their album, traditional favourites skits and guest appearances. You can get access to the show for $20.

Let’s get out the cookie cutters and have some fun with Sylvia Chave. No matter how excited you are for Christmas, you can be that you know some kids who blow your enthusiasm out of the water. Chave knows how important music is to kids and that’s why she’s pulling out all the stops for her annual Holiday Hoopla. This will be an online show and with the purchase of your ticket, you will be able to access the performance for 24hours. The cost is $7 a family and groups of 20 or more can purchase a viewing for $45.

It’s become a tradition for Munro & Patrick. The duo is usually live at d’Lish by Tish Café but this year, the show is being held online. This is a show full of holiday singalong favourites and beautiful harmonies. All the proceeds are going towards the Saskatoon Food Bank & Learning Centre. Tickets are $20.
