Wide Open Children’s Theatre returns with a new puppet adventure. BALLOON-ATIC is a sweet table-top puppet performance that tells the story of an old man who lives alone and is preparing to celebrate his birthday. Much to his surprise, his solitary celebration is interrupted by a playful red balloon. Tickets are $12 – $17.

La Troupe Du Jour welcomes you into the world of Gabrielle Roy with Cet Été Qui Chantait (Enchanted Summer). This play presented with English surtitles is a journey of images, music, poetry and humour. It’s inspired by the Roy’s books known for their attention to detail in everyday life. It’s described as a meditation on rural life. Tickets are $8 – $20.

You gotta love a song that takes you right back to high school. For many of us, that tune is Teenage Dirtbag. The band that gave us this gem is Wheatus is out on a 25th Anniversary tour and making a stop in our city. This concert will be a celebration of its debut album. Saskatoon’s own Greenwing will open. A Change is Gonna Come is a show that was designed in partnership with the SSO and will include tunes from artists like Whitney Houston, Aretha Franklin, and Dionne Warwick. Tickets are $76 – $102.

Darby Mills “True Story”

It’s Canada’s first-ever touring Rockumentary, a blend of film, live performance, and storytelling and it’s waiting for you at the Broadway. True Story follows Darby Mills, the original frontwoman of 80s rockers The Headpins. Mills will tell her own story to life as the band had chart-topping hits alongside anthems from Janis Joplin, Led Zeppelin, and Nazareth. Tickets are $59.
