The worlds of jazz and Middle Eastern music collide in this performance by Tunisia’s Mohamed Masmoudi. His works are known for rich melodies and texture. This performance is made possible through the collaboration of Saskatoon Symphony Orchestra and the Saskatoon Jazz Society. Tickets are $38 – $48.

The Boat

The Refinery

A new play by Saskatchewan’s Todd Devonshire is about to hit the stage and give us a glimpse into Canada’s forgotten past. The Boat  is set in the 1960s and follows the story of two doctors set up in an off shore clinic on a boat 15 miles off the coast of Nova Scotia. It’s in international waters, free from Canadian laws, where women are allow the choice to end their pregnancy. Devonshire says with the reversal of Roe v. Wade south of the border, Canadians need to know how far our country has come. Tickets are $27 – $32.

Suitcase Stories

It’s the story of a woman’s journey from the only home she’s ever known in search of a new life and a fresh start. Burnt Thicket Theatre presents Maki Yi’s Suitcase Stories. It’s a raw, funny and inspiring look at life as a newcomer as Yi tells her personal story oaf leaving life in South Korea, arriving in Regina with only one suitcase and a ton of hope. Tickets are $16 – $32.

This week is the first ever Metal Week in Saskatchewan and the three day event is filled with live performances by groups like Augurium, Into Eternity, and Krash. If you saw him on the big stage at last year’s jazz festival, you already know the beautiful voice and incredible talent of William Prince. The country musician is out on the road on his Further from the Country tour and making a stop in our city. Manitoba singer-songwriter Boy Golden will be joining Prince for this show making it an incredible double bill. Tickets are $63 – $81.

Prairieland Park

It’s the longest running telethon in Canadian history. A variety show and fundraiser that supports the Kinsmen Foundation helping people across the province with special needs equipment, travel assistance, and life-saving medical care. You can head to Prairieland Park to see the show live with performances by artists like Jeffrey Straker, Econoline Crush, and The Steadies. There will also be many young up and coming performers taking the stage from all over the province. The two days of programming is all held together by an all star cast including George Stroumboulopoulos, Brad Johner, Kate Beirness, and JoJo Mason. It’s free to attend and all donations are greatly appreciated.
