La Troupe du Jour presents Albertine, en cinq temps, a touching comedy by Michel Tremblay. The classic play features conversations between five versions of Albertine, at ages 30, 40, 50, 60 and 70, and her sister Madeleine. The show runs with English surtitles, tickets are $10 – $30.

A Christmas Story

A family classic is on the program for Persephone Theatre’s holiday show. A Christmas Story is the tale of Ralphie, boy whose hearts desire is a shiny new Red Ryder BB gun under the tree. He has to navigate a neighbourhood bully, his teacher, his absent-minded dad, and a mall Santa to do it. The play is an adaptation of the 1983 family film favourite with a huge cast including 14 local children in the cast. Demand has been so brisk the show was held over until Dec. 26th. Tickets are $57 – $71.

Get ready for a brand new Christmas story with a spooky twist. The team at Dancing Sky Theatre is back on stage with a hilarious panto mash-up of Frankenstein and The Gingerbread Man. The story follows Frank N. Stein a baker with one goal in mind, to make the ultimate cookie to please all but his plan goes sideways when that cookie comes to life. This is a comedy that blends story with music and puppets into a show for the whole family. Tickets are $20 – $40 and select shows you can add a meal on before for $45.

The Saskatoon Symphony Orchestra is kicking off its festive lineup of shows with a banger. YXE Divas Xmas is a concert that brings some of the most powerful female vocalists in our city together for one spectacular night of holiday favourites and original tunes. Ellen Nasser, Eileen Laverty, Elyse Evangelista, Sonia Reid, Betty Allison, and Falynn Baptiste will join the orchestra under conductor Janna Sailor and get the whole family into the Christmas spirit. Saskatoon media diva Alex Brown will emcee and there will also be a few surprise guests along the way. Tickets are $76 – $102.

He blends Indian folk melodies with the blues. Harry Manx is a celebrated Canadian musician who’s distinctive style has bewitched audiences all over North America. Manx is coming to Saskatoon for a show in support of CFCR Community Radio. Tickets are $49.

Aerial acrobats, jugglers, lasers, holograms, comedians and more. There’s a whole lot of Christmas magic waiting for you in Holiday Dreams, A Spectacular Holiday Show. This event features many acts seen on America’s Got Talent and other international tv programs. This is one for the whole family. Tickets are $57 – $68.

Factor Eight – A Live

The Refinery
Saskatchewan’s experimental artist is back with a live evening of music and cinematic soundscapes. Factor Eight (Andrew Bennett) has added music to trailers for movies like Gladiator II and Women Talking, and shows on Disney + and now he’s stepping out of the studio for a first-ever live show. Tickets are $30.

BHP Enchanted Forest

Christmas must be on its way because the BHP Enchanted Forest is back to light up the Forestry Farm Park. It’s a tradition in our house to kick off the holiday season with some hot chocolate, carols and a drive through the park. Make sure you check out all the forest additions, my 10 year-old knows them by heart and is always excited to see the new lights. Tickets are $10 per person or $35 per car.

Glow Saskatoon

Prairieland Park
Light up your Christmas with Glow Saskatoon. Make sure you bring your camera and the whole family to the indoor holiday light festival. As you wander through the light display, the kids can take a ride on the train, run around lookinf for clues in the annual scavenger hunt, and enjoy the playground all lit up for the season. There will be visits with Santa, appearances by the Disney princesses and plenty of local music featured on the entertainment stage. Tickets are $15 – $25 with group rates available.
