The Space Between

Saturday

TCU Place

“When you can’t put an experience into words, you can express it with music.” That’s what composer Vincent Ho told me when asked about his concerto From Darkness to Light: A Spiritual Journey. The piece is the centrepiece of the Saskatoon Symphony Orchestra’s The Space Between this weekend. Ho was inspired to write the piece by his friend’s own journey through cancer. It’s a raw, emotional look at what it’s like to live with the disease and it was created in collaboration with Grammy Award winning percussionist Dame Evelyn Glennie who will be the guest artist at this concert. For more about the piece check out this story in Brit’s Picks. Tickets are $59 – $122
