They’ve got new music, a new tour and they’re gonna light it up in one of our city’s favourite outdoor venues. Canadian rockers Marianas Trench has been going strong releasing hit after hit since the early 2000s and the band has just released its latest album Haven. The group will play the Bessborough Gardens alongside Down With Webster as part of the SaskTel Centre Summer Soundwave series. Tickets are $95 and it’s general seating.

Prairieland Park
The circus is coming to town. This set of shows will mark Europa Super Circus’ first visit to Canada and under the big top there will be tightrope walkers, aerial artists, clowns, roller skaters and more. Tickets are $25 – $60.

Bessborough Gardens
The music doesn’t stop this weekend in the Bessborough Gardens as Rock the River is back for another year. This is a weekend of classic rockers from all over North America. Performers include former lead singer of Boston, Tommy Decarlo, Streetheart, Odds, 54-40, and Steve Augeri who used to be the lead singer in Journey. Single day tickets are $150 and a weekend pass runs $250. And don’t forget the annual Rock 102 Show & Shine that runs alongside the festival every year. The cars will be all shined up and out for a cruise on Saturday and Sunday you can head downtown to see them all parked between 1st Avenue and 4th Avenue.

Shakespeare on the Saskatchewan Community Tent
Another wildly collaborative project has come from Saskatoon performer Oli Guselle. The classically trained vocalist sets no boundaries when it comes to creation of their art. Guselle has taken text from some of your favourite Shakespeare plays and set it to pop, rock country, punk, and grunge music. The production is part of the Shakespeare on the Saskatchewan festival and performances will be Saturday – 10pm, Sunday 7:30pm, & Monday 7:30pm and it’s completely free. You do have to register for a ticket.

There’s only a few more days to see this year’s Shakespeare on the Saskatchewan productions and tickets are selling out fast. It’s a big year for the festival as the organization marks its 40th season with Fools & Kings. This year’s offerings include a 1985 spin on A Midsummer Night’s Dream. The classic tale of lovers caught in a web of jealousy and chaos all set to a soundtrack of 80s hits. For the more classically inclined there’s the Bard’s The Tragedy of Richard II with a story about the unravelling of a king who struggles to hold his position amid political unrest. This is the first time this play will hit the SOTS stage. Tickets are $33 – $50.

Folkfest 2025

Prairieland Park
Saskatoon’s cultural festival has a new look this year. Folkfest is a celebration of food, tradition and performance from all over the world. This year all nine pavilions including Iran, Ghana, and Latin America will all be under one roof at Prairieland Park. This year also marks the return of fan favourite, the Scottish pavilion. This year’s festival will be a two-day celebration running 3pm – 12pm and tickets are $10.

The Art of Banksy Without Limits

Step inside the world of one of the most mysterious and influential street artists of our time. There’s over 200 pieces, from Banksy original pieces to immersive installations you’ll wander around this space amazed by the work of the anonymous street artist. From Singapore to Amsterdam, this exhibit has toured the world and now it’s in Saskatoon. You need to book your viewing time when you purchase your tickets.

What’s better than an evening of danceable, singable tunes that the whole family will love? When it’s for a good cause. Music for the Gut celebrates its 15th annual fundraising showcase of local talent in support of Crohn’s & Colitis Canada. To date, these shows have raised $217,000 for the charity. This year’s show will feature 108 performers with songs from ABBA, Wicked, Footloose, and more. Tickets are $49.25.
