Sum Theatre is back with its annual Theatre in the Park. Breathe is a musical journey that follows a fish seeking refuge on an island inhabited by a reclusive, fire breathing dragon. The two must adapt to survive. It’s a story about finding your place in the world and achieving things beyond your wildest imagination. Breathe opens in Saskatoon before heading out on tour to neighbourhood parks in Regina and area and Northern Saskatchewan. It’s free for everyone to attend.

You’ve got a double header of laughs coming your way this weekend as Saskatchewan’s favourite Kelly Taylor returns to the Capitol sharing the stage with Ontario comedian Mark Menei. Both are high energy entertainers that have entertained crowds all over North America. It’s sure to be a great show. Tickets start at $24.

Library Voices w/ Slow Down Molasses & Vikki Minor

It’s a chance to see legendary Saskatchewan talent back on stage. Library Voices is a group we don’t see much of anymore. The Regina group grabbed attention on the music scene in the early 2000s with hits like Generation Handclap, and The Prime Minister’s Daughter but they went on to other projects after 2015’s Lovish was released. You’ll get a chance to see them this weekend at Black Cat Tavern sharing the stage with other local favourites Slow Down Molasses and Vikki Minor. Tickets are $18.

Canadian singer/songwriter Alessia Cara is back on tour after a six year break from the road. Cara’s promoting her new album Love & Hyperbole. Cara shot to fame with her YouTube pop covers and went straight into creating her own music including her smash hit Stay. Her latest album, as the title suggests is all about her experiences with love and heartbreak. Tickets are $73 – $108.
