The music we celebrated at the school dances is all back for an evening of fun MuchMusic Dance Party style, the 90’s mix tour hosted by former VJ Rick The Temp and DJ Kav will hit SaskTel Centre with live performances by 2 Unlimited, Haddaway, and members of Snap!… Just to name a few. Warm up your winter weekend with a little old time music! Shivering Strings Saskatoon is celebrating more than a decade of workshops, dance, concerts and jam sessions with some of Canada’s top Bluegrass and Old Thyme musicians like Emily Dubois, Clayton Linthicum, and Jocelyn Bourque. You don’t have to be registered for the classes to get in on the fun. Thursday night, there will be an instructor showcase at the Bassment and Saturday night, kick up your heels at the old time dance at St. Joe’s Hall. Tickets are between $10 – $35.

Brighten up the darkest month of the year with a four-day festival filled with comedy, music, theatre and so much more. Winterruption is on right now filling our city with performances by artists like Nap Eyes, Winona Forever, and Donovan Woods. You won’t want to miss the 25th Anniversary screening of O Brother, Where Art Thou? At the Broadway on Thursday. This is not just a movie as the soundtrack will be played live by musicians like Belle Plaine, Blake Berglund, and Sonia Reid. There are plenty of free events too, check out the outdoor festival this weekend in W. E Graham Park behind Victoria School. Tickets are $15 to $63 for an all access pass.

Get ready for a trip to the magical world of Disney with a new offering of hits from the animated movies we love. Encanto, The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, and Frozen, this performance has all the tunes you love played by the Saskatoon Symphony Orchestra musicians and Disney vocalists. Canadian folk, country, and roots collective, The Hello Darlins are back at The Bassment to play tunes from a new double album The Alders & The Ashes. The group is made up of some of Canada’s most in-demand professional session and touring musicians and play a hybrid of country, gospel, and blues.
