Saskatoon Summer Players opens its season with a modern musical about coming out and coming to terms with family secrets. Fun Home opened in 2015 with the true life story of graphic novelist Alison Bechdel. The show that sees Alison searching her childhood memories growing up in the Bechdel Funeral home to come to terms with her father’s unexpected death. This is a funny, heartfelt story about seeing your parents through grown-up eyes. Tickets are $26 – $32.

Get ready action lovers because Live Five Independent Theatre’s kicking off its season with a performance just for you. Zastrozzi: The Master of Discipline is a story about a master criminal Zastrozzi and his band of cronies who are looking for revenge on an artist that’s wronged them. This is a dark comedy that delves into the struggle between evil and virtue. There will be sword fights, intrigue, and a whole lot of over the top action. Tickets are $27 – $32.

Acclaimed Canadian singer songwriter Jane Sidberry is out on tour of Western Canada and making a stop in our city. Sidberry has been entertaining audiences with her etherial music for four decades and she’s just released a new collection of music Season One: These Hard Knots. The music is Sidberry’s reflection on the times we’re living in. Tickets are $44.

It’s a legacy that’s spanned 60 years. Just about every child of the 80s grew up hearing the “The man they call Reveen” commercials and maybe you’ve even seen a Reveen show live. Peter Reveen’s son Tyrone took over the tuxedo in 2013 and has been keeping the comedy and hypnotizing antics going after learning under his dad. Tickets are $40 – $50.
