They’ve got Big Feelings! Arkells are back out on the road and making a spooky stop here in Saskatoon on Halloween. The band burst on the scene in the early 2000s with hits like Michigan Left, Leather Jacket, and 11:11. Arkells have toured tirelessly and  won a bunch of Juno Awards. These guys are definitely a party band. Tickets are $25 – $76.

The Invisible

You still have one more weekend to see this powerful performance. The Invisible: Agents of Ungentlemanly Warfare by Edmonton’s Catalyst Theatre is on tour and making a stop here in Saskatoon. Our own Amanda Trapp and has been with the production since its very beginning in 2019. Saskatoon born actor Kristi Hansen also joins the cast of powerful women. The musical tells the story of seven highly trained female operatives in Churchill’s Special Operations Executive as they risk their lives in Nazi-occupied France during World War II. It’s a tale based on history full of danger, sabotage, propaganda and espionage. Tickets are $54 – $69.

Let’s do the Timewarp again! Who says all the dress-up fun is just for the kids? Halloween means it’s time for the time honoured tradition of singing, dancing and homemade props as Brad and Janet try to navigate their way through the strange and wonderful world of Dr. Frankenfurter. The Broadway Theatre does not allow rice or hotdogs but there will be prizes for the best dressed so don’t miss it. There are two screenings Halloween night 7:00p.m. & 11:00p.m.. Tickets are $18.

Wide Open Children’s Theatre is back with a sequel to its smash hit Special Delivery. Tic and Tok return in this story about two clowns that just can’t get along so they decide to do their research. The pair study a book about being a good person but their interpretations of what it all means are very different. Will they learn anything or just clown around. This show is a ton of fun for the little ones and their families. Tickets are $12 – $17.

Capitol Music Club

Canadian rock darling JJ Wilde is making a stop in Saskatoon on her All My Vices tour. The Ontario native found huge radio success with her single The Rush, her first tour in two years, in support of her latest album Vices. This rocker has received acclaim from audiences and awards from the Junos. You can check her out this weekend. Tickets are $39.

Big Dave McLean

The Bassment

He’s a living blues legend and a member of the Order of Canada for his contribution to our Canadian music landscape. Big Dave McLean is back in town for a pair of shows this weekend and he’ll be backed on stage by Saskatoon favourites Doug Scarrow, Don Griffith, George Tennant, and Laurie Currie. McLean has been setting the standard for blues music here for more than 50 years and is still going strong. Tickets are $30 – $40.

The room will echo with the beautiful sounds of song this weekend as the North Sky Chorale presents its Fall Pops show. This is a choir that draws from all corners of our community; university students, farmers, teachers, business owners, and more. The program will feature a mix of classical tunes, seasonal favourites and pop. Tickets are $20 – $30.

Broadway Theatre

Saskatoon Summer Players opens its season with a modern musical about coming out and coming to terms with family secrets. Fun Home opened in 2015 with the true life story of graphic novelist Alison Bechdel. The show that sees Alison searching her childhood memories growing up in the Bechdel Funeral home to come to terms with her father’s unexpected death. This is a funny, heartfelt story about seeing your parents through grown-up eyes. Tickets are $26 – $32.

Zastrozzi: The Master of Discipline

Get ready action lovers because Live Five Independent Theatre’s kicking off its season with a performance just for you. Zastrozzi: The Master of Discipline is a story about a master criminal Zastrozzi and his band of cronies who are looking for revenge on an artist that’s wronged them. This is a dark comedy that delves into the struggle between evil and virtue. There will be sword fights, intrigue, and a whole lot of over the top action. Tickets are $27 – $32.

Acclaimed Canadian singer songwriter Jane Sidberry is out on tour of Western Canada and making a stop in our city. Sidberry has been entertaining audiences with her etherial music for four decades and she’s just released a new collection of music Season One: These Hard Knots. The music is Sidberry’s reflection on the times we’re living in. Tickets are $44.
