Saskatoon Musicians’ Assoc. Gala
Thursday
The Bassment
It is my absolute privilege to return as emcee for the Saskatoon Musicians’ Association Gala Showcase. This is a celebration put on by Local 553 highlighting some of the incredible talent we have on Saskatoon’s music scene. There’s something for every taste with performances by acts like indie rockers Autopilot and Latin jazz act Holy Soleil. this year the union awards its Kenny Shields Special Recognition award to author and musician Brenda Baker. Baker’s entertained us all with her work as a children’s performer, choir founder (Kids of Note & The Notations), author, and even started the Contemplative Arts Festival which is still going strong five years later. Baker will join previous winners like Don Kerr, Shelly Loeffler and John Arcand. This will be a fun night out, I hope you can join us. Tickets are $30 – $40.
