The play follows university tenants as they prepare to be evicted from their house after going on a rental strike. It’s their last hurrah in the house and they are going to party. There’s sex, drugs, queerness, and misunderstanding. Tickets are $19.

After an incredibly successful run last spring, In The Headlights returns with its production of I Have No Idea. It’s a musical comedy that explores what it is like to live with ADHD. Playwright and actor Nathan Coppens explores his own experiences living with it to bring a poignant story filled with laughs that celebrates neurodiversity. The show is in Saskatoon this weekend and then heads out on tour with stops in Battleford, Swift Current, Regina, Moose Jaw, Weyburn and Prince Albert. Tickets are $25 – $30.

We <3 The 80s

Retro vibes are in the air as Saskatoon Soaps Improv Comedy kicks off its 40th season with We <3 The 80s. The Soaps are one of North America’s longest running improv troupes and opening night is going to be full of acid wash, big hair and garbage pail kids. These shows are only as good as the audience makes them as the actors on stage take your suggestions and go for it. Tickets are $16.

This is a tour of finger-licking food from some of the best pit masters in North America like Billy’s BBQ, Bone Daddy’s BBQ and Buckeye BBQ. Along with the ribs and pulled pork there’s a program full of musical entertainment including acts like The Blue Mules and Katelyn Lehner. The event is free but bring cash for all the tasty treats.

If you’re looking for a musical party, head to the Capitol for local party band The Great Fuss. The band is a favourite on the club circuit with incredible guitar riffs, vocals and undeniable energy. The Great Fuss has shared the stage with other iconic Canadian acts like Wide Mouth Mason, Five Alarm Funk, and the Trans-Canada Highwaymen. Carter and the Capitals and The Department Heads will also share the stage. Tickets are $15 -$17.

This year is vocalist Heidi Munro’s 40th in the business and to celebrate she and the Real Groovy Band will be playing all the hits at The Bassment. The band includes well known musicians like Sheldon Corbett, Gent Laird, and Don Griffith. Tickets are $30 – $40.

If you’re a kid of the 90s, guaranteed you slow danced with that special someone to the music of Extreme. The Boston rock band formed in the mid-80s and broke through with the number one Billboard hit More Than Words. The band is in the midst of the Thicker Than Blood tour that brings a heavy dose of nostalgia mixed with new music from its latest studio album Six. The band is bringing along New York rockers Living Colour to open. Tickets are $68 – $91.
