She’s known for her TLC series Long Island Medium, delivering messages from the afterlife to loved ones for more than 30 years. Theresa Caputo is coming to Saskatoon with her live show The Experience. This is a show where Caputo tells stories of her own life while interacting with the audience and delivering spontaneous readings throughout the night. Tickets are going fast and run $39 – $77.

Kinsmen Park             

This show just might inspire you to run away with the circus. Dr. Von Houligan’s Family Extravaganza is a variety show that brings back the nostalgia of the old travelling circus. There’s juggling, balancing, magic, and tongs of audience participation under the big top. This show is also a fundraiser in support of the Kinsmen Club of Saskatoon. The shows will run until mid-September so you have plenty of chances to check it out. Tickets are $15 – $25.

Nutrien Fireworks Festival

There’s nothing like seeing giant fireworks display light up the night on the banks of the South Saskatchewan River. The Nutrien Fireworks Festival is back for another year. This year’s theme is What Are Friends For?. The day’s activities include live music, dancing, food and drinks. Friday the action begins at 5:00p.m. and Saturday at 1:00p.m. Take the kids to the Family Fun Zone for activities like bouncers, face painting and experiments by the Saskatchewan Science Centre. Grab a bite while you watch the cultural performances and then grab the perfect spot in the park to watch the fireworks synchronized to music. A pyro team from Toronto will be showcased on Friday and Saturday night’s show features the theme of friendship. Those go off at 9:30pm nightly. This event is free to the public but bring some cash for vendors on site.

Broadway Theatre      

Canadian comedian Jeff Leeson is known as The King of Crowd Work. Leeson combines stand up with improv. This is a show where you’re not just a passive member of the audience, you become part of his act. The Ontario comic has been described as a “human fireworks display” because he uses his surroundings and members of the audience to create a new performance every time. Tickets are $20 – $40.

Sonia Reid

The Bassment       

Powerhouse vocals from Saskatoon’s own Sonia Reid will be front and center at The Bassment. Reid has performed across Canada, the U.S., and in the Caribbean and she shares her wealth of experience here in Saskatoon as a vocal teacher. Reid will take the stage with a four-piece band for a mix of R&B, soul, and gospel tunes. This will be an inspiring evening of uplifting tunes. Tickets are $30 – $40.

The Chicks

It’s been a minute since we’ve seen The Chicks, formerly known as The Dixie Chicks. The trio has faithfully included Saskatoon on its North American tours and the crowds have reciprocated that love with each album release. These ladies have turned out hit after hit with songs like Wide Open Spaces, Goodbye Earl and Cowboy Take Me Away. The Grammy award-winning group has sold more than 30.5 million albums. Martie, Emily and Natalie are bringing along some top talent to open, country star Maren Morris. This is sure to be an evening of girl power and great music. Tickets are $76 – $179.
