YXE Shakespeare Lab is back at it with a staged reading of one of the Bard’s most beloved romance plays. The Winter’s Tale is the story of king Leontes who believes his wife Hermoine has been unfaithful. His jealousy threatens to destroy both his family and country. Will they find their way back to happiness? Tickets are by donation with $10-$20 suggested.

It began in 2001 as an album of pop songs with re-written, kid-friendly lyrics and has now grown into a 40-album legacy and a full touring show. Tickets are $35 – $55.

Hospitals, Broken Pianos

It’s a look at the experience Indigenous people face when they enter the healthcare system. Hospitals, Broken Pianos is a new work of theatre by Jennifer Dawn Bishop for the Circle of Voices program at Gordon Tootoosis Nīkānīwin Theatre. The story follows 9 different people as they become involved in system and deal with discrimination. Bishop based the play on her own family’s experience as well as stories heard from others. Tickets are $10.
