From trendy flavours to locally grown staples, you can find something to tempt every palate in Riversdale. The number of boutique style restaurants popping up in the neighbourhood is evidence that our city is adventurous when it comes to food. YXE Eats is a food festival that celebrates local chefs and gives you a chance to sample our local culinary scene. 15 restaurants have a special menu set up so that you can sample what they do best. Riversdale businesses will open their doors for cocktails and snacks, a different one each evening. Don’t miss Friday’s food challenge or the family pasta making class on Sunday. Ticket prices vary from free to $100.

Amigos Cantina
She may come from a small town (Mortlach, SK) but Megan Nash is anything but small.. This girl’s huge voice has grit and soul and she’s amazing live. Her brand of rock ‘n’ roll has earned her attention from the Canadian music scene as well as in Europe where just las year she toured with Shred Kelly. Nash will be hitting Amigos Cantina this weekend in support of her latest album Seeker. Tickets are $12 – $15. Germany’s Scotch and Water open the show.

Broadway Street Fair Saturday
Broadway District
It’s a day out on Broadway celebrating all that makes the neighbourhood vibrant. There will be plenty of food and shopping as well as activities for the kids including a meet and greet with Treehouse star Miss Persona. The celebrity dunk tank is back and there’s a chance to admire cars from the British Car Club and take in several street performers. This is a free event and runs from 10:00a.m. – 5:00p.m.
