Ladies and gentlemen, start your engines! High octane fun is the name of the game this weekend as the monster trucks roll in for the RAM Motorsports Spectacular. Make sure you bring your hearing protection for this family friendly event because things get really loud in the arena. Tuff trucks, motocross racing and jumping and of course the monster trucks will all be racing for supremacy. Tickets are $15 – $25.

Broadway Theatre

They bill themselves as Canada’s most authentic Pink Floyd Tribute band and you’ll have to see them in person to believe it. PIGS is a band that recreates the sounds of the iconic rockers from the 1970s. The B.C. band prides itself on playing songs from Pink Floyd’s entire catalogue. Dark Side of the Moon, Wish You Were Here and The Wall, you can hear it all live this weekend. Tickets are $36.

Saskatoon musician Gillian Snider is paying tribute to one of Saskatoon’s most famous daughters with a show dedicated to her music. Gillian sings Joni is a show that’s going to be jam packed with hits from Joni Mitchell. Backed by an amazing band, Snider will bring Mitchell’s jazz and folk hits to life. Tickets are $23 – $28.

If you rocked out in the 90s, chances are it was to the music of Big Wreck. The band with Ian Thornley and Brian Doherty at the helm has had its ups and downs but now they are back out on the road. Big Wreck: In Loving Memory Of is a North American tour celebrating 2 decades of music. You’ll hear all your favourites like My Luck Is Wasted and That Song along with tunes from the new album Grace Street. Tickets are $30.
