Over the Rainbow Friday
The Bassment
Saskatoon’s country music sweetheart Jessica Robinson is paying tribute to a musician she credits as an inspiration. Eva Cassidy was an American vocalist known for her diversity in jazz, blues, folk, gospel, country, rock and pop. Her signature song was “Over The Rainbow”. She opened for acts like Al Green and The Neville Brothers and refused to be pigeon holed into one genre. Cassidy died in 1996 and Robinson hopes this show will pay tribute to her memory and the impact she’s had on generations of artists. Tickets are $22 – $27.

The Saskatoon Symphony Orchestra is celebrating this prolific composer with a show jam packed with his hits. The show will include music from all seven Star Wars films and you’re invited to come in costume as your favourite character. This is a perfect way to introduce your young Star Wars fan to the symphony and its shows. Now where can a girl get an Ewok costume on short notice? Tickets are $55 – $72.
