The artform has become mainstream and more than 160 artists from all over Canada will converge in our city for the Saskatoon Tattoo Expo. Check out the latest designs and even see tattoos being done live. There will also be a trade show where you can do a little shopping. Tickets are $20 – $35.

Ancient Folklore Saturday
Persephone Theatre
It’s a story inspired by West African legend. Baobab is a family friendly show by Theatre Motus and the SO Company. The story is about an ancient tree that brings forth an egg with little boy inside. He’s the only one that can help the village find water. It’s a show full of music, puppets and masks. There are two performances one in English and one in French. Tickets are $20.

Guitar Genius Saturday
Broadway Theatre
He’s known as the Greek God of the Guitar and it’s a reputation Pavlo is going to prove on stage this weekend. Pavlo Simtikidis is a Juno nominated guitarist from Toronto that blends Greek and Latin music with pop sensibilities. His music has taken him around the world and he’s toured with artists like Olivia Newton-John and Jon Secada. Tickets for this show are $44.

The Bassment
A Canadian music superstar is taking the stage to pay tribute to a woman who paved the way for her and many others in country music. Lisa Brokop’s latest work is The Patsy Cline Project and it’s an intimate look at the country music legend’s contribution to the musical landscape. Brokop will perform many of the hits that made Patsy Cline a household name as well as original songs inspired by Cline. Tickets are $35-$45 and this show is sure to be a sell out.
