Are we all destined to become our mothers? The debate of nature over nurture is the centrepiece of Thicker than Water, a new production by Sum Theatre. Written by Heather Morrison, the story follows Laura who’s waiting by the phone for a call that could change her life. The show has been on tour in Saskatchewan with stops in Battleford, Moose Jaw & Regina and now it’s home in Saskatoon. Tickets are $19-$24

It’s one-part communications conference, one-part music festival. MoSo is back for its sixth year. The lineup of speakers for the conference include Jesse Brown (Canadaland Fame) and Sam Sheffer (Social Media & Creative Producer, Mashable). The music festival bookings are equally impressive with headliners like Buffy Sainte Marie (also speaking), and Besnard Lakes. A pass for everything will cost you $250, Keynote Day $150 and a Music wristband is $60. Individual events range from $7-$23.

The longest day of the year is coming up and the folks at Ground Yoga want us to celebrate by treating our bodies to a little yoga. Yogathon is a family friendly event that’s completely free in the park. There will be live music and a variety of teachers will lead everyone through the poses. National Aboriginal Day / Facebook

Cultural Tribute & Ceremony             June 21 & 22               Victoria Park

2015/2016 has been declared a Year of Reconciliation in Saskatoon and to celebrate the Office of the Treaty Commissioner has a two-day party planned. On the 21st the focus is celebrating aboriginal tradition there will be a pipe ceremony, grand entry and entertainment on the main stage. On the 22nd, the party will be centred around a message of reconciliation including a public art installation with a message of moving forward together.  Both days are for the whole family and admission is free.
