There’s a brand new theatre company in town. Luminaire Theatre Works is making its debut with a musical about a guy who hates the art form and wakes up one day to find people in his town infectiously singing and dancing as an alien presence takes over. Tickets are $27 – $34.

Million Dollar Quartet

Persephone Theatre
To close out its season, Persephone Theatre has a Tony award nominated musical that will bring the house down. Million Dollar Quartet is a story about how fate brought Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis, Carl Perkins, and Elvis Presley together at Sun Records in 1956. It’s called the greatest jam session in the history of rock and roll. Tickets are $49 – $55.

Juno award-winner Kieran Ahluwalia fuses the vocal styles of Pakistan and India with elements of blues, rock, and jazz into an unforgettable evening of music. It’s a play that took the country by storm! 25th Street Theatre’s Paper Wheat put Saskatchewan on the Canadian theatre map with this show touring right across the country. The play tells the story of the first settlers on the prairie and the foundations of the cooperative movement here in Saskatchewan. It’s all about working together to build a life here on the prairies. You can buy tickets just for the show $20 – $35 or add on a meal before the performance for an additional $45.

Bush -Loaded

Their music is the soundtrack to my high school years. Bush is a London rock band that burst out onto the 90s music scene with hits like Glycerine and Machinehead. The band is out on its Loaded greatest hits tour. Frontman Gavin Rossdale has said that Canada is one of the band’s favourite places to play. Tickets are $56 – $190.

Nitty Gritty Dirt Band

What’s a wedding or cabaret in Sask without Fishin’ in the Dark? Grammy award winning act Nitty Gritty Dirt Band has been cranking out country tunes from nearly six decades. The band is out on its All The Good Times farewell tour. This concert will have all the favourites like Mr. Bojangles and An American Dream. See them live one last time. Tickets are $88 – $116.
