Paper Wheat
April 25 – May 11
Dancing Sky Theatre
Meacham
It’s a play with mythological status here in Saskatchewan. In the late 70s 25th Street Theatre’s Paper Wheat captured the country with its documentary style telling of Canadian, prairie history. Despite a country-wide tour and National Film Board documentary about that first production, the story has seldom been seen on our local stages. Now, Dancing Sky Theatre is reimagining the story about the foundations of the cooperative movement with a cast of young emerging artists. They want you to come along for the ride and celebrate the progressive roots of our province. Tickets are $20 – $35 for the show and if you’d like to enjoy the meal before the performance +$45.
