Do you tire out before you can make it to the late night comedy show? Never fear Saskatoon’s Dakota Ray Hebert is here to help. She and her comedian friends have created a matinee series at Art Bar. Bring your lunch kit and settle in for a half hour show starting at 12:15p.m.. Next week, (Wed. – Fri.) Mitchell Doran will take the stage. Tickets are $12 – $20.

It doesn’t get more homegrown than this. Wonder City Collective presents the premiere of Drew Mantyka’s Rooftops as part of the Live Five Independent Theatre season. The play follows Emma as her secret space of solitude to read and write turns out to be not so secret after all. She meets a bunch of colourful characters and sees that first impressions aren’t always that accurate and to look for that little spark of hope in every situation. Thursday’s performance is pay what you can and then tickets are $27 – $32.

The Bassment
It’s been an evolution for award-winning guitarist Harry Bartlett and yet to listen to his latest album Mountain Air… it’s seems like a sound he was always destined to create. After making a name for himself as a jazz musician, Bartlett felt a pull towards a more folk and bluegrass sound. This concert will feature violinist Alien Homzy and bassist Andrew Downing and the trio will take the stage in Saskatoon. Tickets are $29 – $39.

Broadway Theatre
After nearly 60 years on the stage Canada’s first lady of country music is taking one last bow with The Final Tour. Baker’s legacy is cemented with more than twenty number one hits, fourteen albums and legions of fans. This concert will be full of the artists greatest hits like Ten Little Fingers, Memories of Home, and I’ve Never Been This Far Before. It’s your last chance to see her live. Tickets are $66.

The HIP Experience

The HIP Experience was a band born out of a love of music that The Tragically Hip created. After the death of Gord Downie the tribute band was put together for a memorial concert to the Canadian icon. After that first show there were countless requests to do it again and so they have. The HIP Experience plays the songs you know and love keeping the music alive. Tickets are $35 – $46.
