The final production in the Greystone Theatre season is set to hit the stage. Mother’s Daughter by Kate Henning is the third part to the playwright’s Queenmaker Series where she takes a deep dive into the lives of women connected to Henry VIII. In this production Mary I is pulled between mercy and strength as she scrambles to keep her kingdom in order. Mary is set to take the crown after the death of Edward VI and she’s visited by her mother who questions the motives of others around her including her loved ones. Should she scramble to find a husband and produce an heir or should she punish those who oppose her like her father did? Tickets are $17 – $22.

She’s a PTA mom taking the world by storm with her Tik Tok videos that have gained more than five million followers from all over the world. Comedian Pinky Patel is out on the road for her #isaidwhatisaid tour and she’s making a stop in Saskatoon. Tickets are $35.

It’s a love letter to family and the Italian-Canadian experience. Inspired by stories he heard growing up, Farren Timoteo created Made in Italy to tell the story of his father and grandfather’s relationship. The Wester Canada Theatre production follows a young man growing up in Canada as the child of Italian immigrants in the 1970s. It’s being billed as a mostly true story about a kid with the heart of Rocky Balboa and the moves (and hair) of John Travolta. You won’t want to miss this one-man show all about the love and family. Tickets are $43 – $60.

Gordon Tootoosis Nīkānīwin Theatre continues its 25th anniversary season with its annual Circle of Voices program production A Sea Most Cruel. Circle of Voices helps develop young aspiring artists and teaches them the ropes of theatre. A Sea Most Cruel tells the story of a young man handed over to a fisherman by his debt-stricken mother. He must learn to adapt to life on the high seas with an abusive captain as trouble approaches the ship. Tickets are free but you still have to register here to snag a seat to the performance.

Regina alt-country act Wolf Willow recaptures the magic of old tyme country music with it’s swinging dancehall style, pedal steel guitar and horn section. The group has a new album Soul of Slippery Butte and they are bringing Mary Live along for the show. Tickets $20 – $30.

Lorrie Morgan & Pam Tillis

Country music superstars Pam Tillis and Lorrie Morgan are out on the road for their Grits and Glamour tour and the pair are stopping in our city. Combined these musicians have recorded nearly 30 top 10 hits and sold more than 18 million records. Through it all they are still turning heads and selling out shows. Saskatoon’s own Adam Johnson will open the show. Tickets are $88 – $95.

Building Bridges with Music

It’s a big deal for a group of Saskatchewan musicians. The Saskatoon Youth Jazz Orchestra is hitting the stage with the newly-formed Prince Albert Youth Jazz Band to present Building Bridges with Music. The show will feature a mix of jazz standards and more contemporary music and it’s a great chance to get out and cheer on the next generation of musical talent in our province. Admission is by donation at the door.

Canadian roots/folk singer Stephen Fearing is best known as part of the Canadian roots-rock supergroup Blackie and the Rodeo Kings. Now, his latest passion project has him out on the road in support of his latest album The Empathist. For this tour Fearing is joined by Danish band The Sentimentals. The music is all about storytelling and the truths that Fearing has come to know over the years. Tickets are $36 – $46
