Shivering Strings West Thurs. – Sun.
If you’re looking for a way to warm up these cold winter nights, the Shivering Strings celebration is just the thing you need. This is a celebration of old-time music that has been passed down through the generations. Over the next three days professional musicians like Daniel Koulack, Karrnnel Sawitsky and Gordon Stobbe will be performing and teaching what they know. It all started with the idea to hold a fiddle camp in the middle of winter and has now grown to classes, a Friday night jam session, a family dance party at St. Joseph’s Hall Saturday night and a finale concert for all the students on Sunday afternoon. Most events are free of charge and tickets to Saturday’s dance are $20.

Monday Night Now – Sunday
Tickets are going fast for this Live Five show that centers around the night John Lennon died. Monday Night is a brand-new play by Todd Devonshire. The show follows the stories from three different perspectives that night: a pair of musicians who believed in Lennon’s ideals, a reporter waiting at the hospital to confirm the news and Howard Cossell and Frank Gifford who are deciding how to announce the news. This show has been so popular they’ve added a performance. Tickets are still available for both of Sunday’s shows they cost $22 – $25.
