Just Peachy         Now – Sunday

The Refinery

That first look, the first kiss maybe even the first time you had sex, being young and in love has many firsts and many pitfalls. Peach is the latest offering from Live Five Independent Theatre and this production explores the complexity of new love and how it isn’t always what T.V. or movies would have us believe. This is a somewhat  autobiographical tale by local playwright Danielle Roy and it explores the trauma and exhilaration of those new relationships. This is a gritty, realistic look at young love through one woman’s eyes. Tickets are $21 – $25.

Country Time     Friday

TCU Place

They were originally formed to demo songs that the individual band members had written but the guys in Old Dominion quickly discovered they were a force to be reckoned with when they teamed up. The band has been on a tear lately touring with power houses like Kenny Chesney and winning Group of the Year from the Academy of Country Music. The group is hitting its Canadian dates in style with special guests The Washboard Union and Cold Creek County. Tickets are limited for this show and selling quickly. You can get yourself in the door for $40 – $60.

Sweetheart Show      Friday

The Bassment

I just love when passions and personal lives combine to make beautiful music and that’s exactly what you’ll get from Blake Berglund and Belle Plaine this weekend. The pair, a real life couple, have been blending his honky tonk country with her 1940s swing and the results are guaranteed to entertain. The promoters are saying to think of Johnny and June and that’s a taste of what this show will bring. This show is definitely going to sell out so you’ll want to get your tickets early. They are $23 – $28.
